the Lena'n'Max AUs masterpost

This is a list of all of renshai's and my alternate universes for Lena'n'Max, because I'd already done this here on tumblr but I wanted to add some of the ones we've thought of since and give it a little restructure (since now we have AUs of AUs and WE DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM, YOU HAVE A PROBLEM)

The main and relatively fleshed-out ones:

1. Main ‘verse: Saints Row (game series)
   Lena and Max, two kids from the rough streets of Stilwater, become leader and lieutenant of the street-gang-turned-media-empire Third Street Saints, and eventually President and Vice-President of the United States.
2. Total Recall (Overwatch 'verse)
   Maddie and Lilah were Blackwatch operatives, until just before the organization’s fall when they were presumed dead at the hands of Gabriel Reyes. Their daughters, Lena and Max, are questionably recruited after the recall.
3. Mildly Irate Max (Mad Max: Fury Road movie ‘verse)
   Lena “Archangel” McCarroll is the warlord of the Saints stronghold, and Max is an amnesiac pit fighter whom Lena collects on a raid.
4. High Fantasy AU
   Corrupt kings and magical curses! Sir Lena of Carroll is definitely a knight and not at all banished, Max is “secretly” a werewolf, and their motley court is dedicated to mayhem and occasional do-gooding.
5. Dragon Age AU
   Wandering mercenaries Max and Lena (a tal-vashoth and a Dalish apostate, respectively) inevitably get wrapped up in the Inquisition despite all signs telling them this is a terrible idea.
6. Assassins at Large (Assassin’s Creed modern ‘verse)
   Maddie McCarroll and Lilah Eshkibog were Assassins, until Lilah was killed in a house fire. Lena grows up as an Assassin, while Max is secretly raised by Templars.

The fractal AUs, or AUs of AUs, stemming from the above:

1. Total Recall: Talon!Lena (instead of having Lena shipped off to the military after her mom's death, Gabriel Reyes takes her under his wing and brings her into Talon, while Max stays with what remains of Overwatch)
2. Total Recall: Talon!Max (same as the above, just vice-versa)
3. Total Recall: Supernatural AU (Lilah and Max are weres... McCree and Reyes are weres... Maddie and Lena and Hanzo are hunters... there are cuddle piles.)
4. Assassins at Large: Syndicate era (look they have to bang Evie and/or Jacob and/or Ned, I’m sorry, I don’t make the rules)
5. Main 'verse: Winter Soldier (Max is winter-soldiered by Morningstar after the yacht explosion)

The one-off, prompt-based, or otherwise less-explored ones:

1. Western AU (Max is a blacksmith, Lena is an itinerant outlaw who beats up bad men)
2. Star Wars AU (Max is an ex-Imperial stormtrooper, Lena is a dashing smuggler)
3. Mass Effect AU (Lena’s a biotic Alliance soldier, Max is a colony-born freelance merc)
4. Buddy Cop/Police Procedural AU (they are partner cops, hijinks ensue)
5. Superhero AU (Lena is a corporate supervillain, Max is a super-strong vigilante who is totally oblivious to Lena’s diabolical and overcomplicated romantic advances. Their mothers are best friends who laugh endlessly at the ensuing complications.)
6. Fast and/or Furious AU?
7. Band AU (Lena fronts the a punk rock band 3rd Street Saints, and Max is the roadie)
8. University AU (Lena and Max are married professors of antiquity/archaeology who terrify undergrads)
9. Fallout AU (Lilah is the Sole Survivor, her daughter Max is the Courier, ??)
10. ?

Need to chase down fic links and add them where appropriate...

Man, I should sort back through my tumblr's writing tag and repost it all to DW, shouldn't I? Shit.

Well, at least if I back-date it it won't flood the friend pages of those unfortunate enough to have followed me, I guess.

I mean, I would vote for non-backdating so that your followers will be blessed with your words and stricken with feels, but that's just me. :3
